March 8 Every Friday, a group of TAIE students joins together to do research, discussion and debate about different topics assigned by our volunteer coordinators. This is a time for students to utilize critical thinking and practice their English speaking skills with one another. Ontario high school students still need to do a certain number of community involvement activities in order to meet the requirement set by the Ministry of Education – and this is a perfect way to fulfill that goal! Thanks to our volunteer coordinators for organizing these activities weekly. Some students may need assistance finding volunteer activities during this time, and in this case, we encourage students to send their guidance counsellor an email for volunteer placement.
