November 27 Yesterday was an unforgettable day at TAIE as our students dove headfirst into the exciting world of democracy! With a fun and interactive election simulation brought to life by Elections Canada, they didn’t just learn about democracy—they lived it. From crafting creative party platforms to delivering persuasive speeches, our students explored what it takes to make a difference while brainstorming ways to make our school even better. Taking on roles as party members, candidates, and voters, they mastered the voting process, learned how to cast a valid vote, and experienced firsthand the thrill of election day. The energy was electric as votes were counted, results revealed, and the winning party celebrated their big victory! This incredible experience sparked a passion for leadership, teamwork, and civic engagement. Huge thanks to Elections Canada for giving our students a day to remember—and skills to carry forward!
